The Ashland Fund
The Ashland Fund is the Foundation’s primary charitable fund and supports our community grantmaking and other investments that benefit Ashland. Gifts to the fund are pooled together, allowing contributions of all sizes to become part of a larger community investment.
The fund is held and administered by the Community Foundation for a greater Richmond, which provides professional fund management, investment oversight, and administrative support. The Ashland Foundation Board retains local decision-making responsibility, identifying community priorities and determining how grant funding is invested in organizations serving Ashland.
This partnership gives donors the benefit of the Community Foundation’s philanthropic expertise and stewardship while keeping decisions about Ashland’s charitable investments rooted in our community.
